Miss Scotland's Highland Luxury

Miss Scotland, Katherine Brown, visited Inverness yesterday to check progress on a new luxury hotel development being built by Robertson Highland.

Miss Scotland, who has just returned from Italy, was in Inverness attending a progress of works ceremony organised by Robertson Highland.

Following her stop in Inverness, Katherine will be jetting off to London and then New York.

The Inverness-based contractor is currently developing the new Kings Club on the grounds of the four-star Kingmills Hotel on Culcabock Road.

The new contemporary styled Kings Club will feature 37 plush suites, 15 of which will have balconies overlooking the tenth green of the Inverness Golf Club.

The modern hotel development will also include fine dining facilities, a mezzanine relaxation area as well as a purpose-built spa where guests and visitors can receive a range of beauty and relaxation treatments.

It is expected to be completed and open for guests by March next year.

Managing director Raymond More said: "It's great that Katherine was able to find time in her busy schedule to visit our site today. The facilities we are building at the Kingsmills will be world class. Someone like Katherine is used to visiting luxury hotels all over the world, so it made sense that she was onsite to view the progress of the work to date.

"Work is progressing well and we will continue to work closely with our client and the design team to deliver a luxurious and modern facility that will set the benchmark for future top-end hotel development throughout the area."

Kingmills Hotel general manager Craig Ewan said: "The Kings Club will add a new dimension to the Kingsmills hotel, offering the guest the choice of traditional rooms within the hotel, or a more contemporary offering within the Kings Club, a hotel within a hotel.

"Over the last eighteen months the company has invested heavily within the existing hotel and the results have been fantastic. The addition of the Kings Club will be the icing on the cake."
