The public consultation on the Scottish Government's Draft Crofting Reform Bill will close this Wednesday and crofters are being urged to make their views known.
Environment Minister Roseanna Cunningham said: "I am very grateful to those who have taken the time to make constructive contributions to the Draft Crofting Reform Bill consultation so far. This is still at a draft stage and I would stress we are very much open to hearing the views of interested parties.
"The Scottish Government values crofting but it is vital we address the corrosive factors threatening its future; such as perpetual absenteeism, failure to put land to use and developments that can change the very character of crofting communities.
"The consultation closes this Wednesday, and I look forward to hearing people's views."
