His policy thinking in areas such as HRA and ALMO self-financing has been of huge importance and I’m really excited about having him as part of the CIH team."

ConsultCIH Executive Chair, Richard Clark, said: "The arrival of Steve Partridge will significantly increase our ability to support, local authorities, ALMOs and housing association strategies."

Steve Partridge added: "I'm delighted to have been given the opportunity to join CIH to help them develop their policy and services around housing finance. There is a raft of major potential changes in the housing finance world driven by government policy and the economic downturn and I look forward to leading CIH's input to these issues at this critical time and in the future."
