Leading housing financial consultant Steve Partridge has joined the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Group to lead the professional body's financial consultancy and policy development services.
His appointment comes in a period when local authorities, housing associations and ALMOs are likely to face major changes and challenges to their finances.
Steve will form part of CIH's fast developing consultancy arm, ConsultCIH Limited, headed by Richard Clark OBE, the former Group Chief Executive of Midland Heart and former Chair of the National Housing Federation.
CIH Group Chief Executive, Sarah Webb said: "I've worked with Steve over a number of years and he has an unrivalled reputation in the world of housing finance. His policy thinking in areas such as HRA and ALMO self-financing has been of huge importance and I’m really excited about having him as part of the CIH team."
ConsultCIH Executive Chair, Richard Clark, said: "The arrival of Steve Partridge will significantly increase our ability to support, local authorities, ALMOs and housing association strategies."
Steve Partridge added: "I'm delighted to have been given the opportunity to join CIH to help them develop their policy and services around housing finance. There is a raft of major potential changes in the housing finance world driven by government policy and the economic downturn and I look forward to leading CIH's input to these issues at this critical time and in the future."
Steve is the former Finance Director at HQN. He took up his post of Director of Financial Policy and Services with CIH Group on 1 August.
