Highland Wide Local Development Plan Blog Launched

The new Blog for the Highland wide Local Development Plan has been launched.

The Blog will be updated regularly with information on meetings and events hosted and attended by the Development Plans team at The Highland Council.

Councillor Ian Ross, Chairman of the Planning, Environment and Development Committee said: "The new Blog for the Highland-wide Local Development Plan shows the Highland Council are keen to ensure local people are involved in the planning process.

"The use of new technology to overcome the challenge of distance is something the Highlands has a growing reputation for and the Council is keen to be innovative in its approach to shaping the future of the area."

The Blog can be viewed at http://hwldp.blogspot.com and is backdated to the official launch of the Highland wide Local Development Plan with the Scottish Government on the 20th February 2009.
