Downtown Space, developer of Glasgow's newest property icon, The Hub at Pacific Quay, has announced that it has signed up a raft of new tenants as well as an operator for its public cafe bar.
First to be signed up in recent days is IT training company, Enlightened Training. This leading training firm will take 1,673 ft² across two suites at the waterfront building, on flexible lease terms. It will join existing tenants the Digital Design Studio, Shed Media Scotland, AV9 Ltd and Southside Technology and is set to take occupation immediately.
Enlightened Training will use its new space to launch a high-quality training facility and will host a wide variety of courses from The Hub, with delegates expected to attend from across Scotland. Its prestigious new ground-floor offices will vastly increase the company's presence within the Scottish market and allow it to increase its operations significantly.
Also signed up as tenants in the last week are wireless applications services provider, Pointshift, and 3D imaging leaders, Dimensional Imaging. Both companies will move to The Hub with immediate effect.
In addition to announcing these prestigious new tenants, Downtown Space has now confirmed that leading catering company, Baxter Storey, will operate the building's public cafe bar. Due to open at the end of June, The Hub's cafe bar will allow both Hub tenants and members of the public to enjoy high-quality food and drinks complemented by panoramic views of the Clyde. Baxter Storey will also enable The Hub to provide tailored catering for events held there.
Completed in February 2009 and offering flexible amounts of space from 127 ft² upwards - as well as flexible leases that will suit both larger companies and individual operators - The Hub's ethos is all about building a 'seriously creative community' at the heart of the new Digital Media Quarter on the banks of the River Clyde.
Businesses can be up and running at The Hub, which is a joint venture with Helical Bar, within just 48 hours of signing a lease. The cafe bar will also welcome staff from other nearby buildings and visitors to Pacific Quay and the Hubsquare, a central atrium, will be used to host exhibitions and events.
Donny McKinnon, director of Downtown Space, said: "Three new tenants joining the community at The Hub is great news and yet another positive story for Glasgow."
