Interiors Sector Supports Builder's Profile

Main contractors in the interiors sector are the latest to sign up to the Builder's Profile, helping to reduce the inefficiency associated with current pre-qualification processes and saving time and money.

The Builder's Profile is an online service allowing companies to exchange common pre-qualification information without filling in duplicate paper questionnaires. By signing up to the Builder's Profile, leading interiors contractors such as StructureTone are now able to accept pre-qualification information from sub-contractors already using the service and request profiles from those that aren't.

The Builder's Profiles provides them with answers to all common pre-qualification questions quickly and securely in their preferred format enabling the information to be integrated into their own systems.

Simon Forrester, Chief Executive of the Association of Interior Specialists (AIS), welcomed the expansion of the Builder's Profile in his sector: "Every year, 5,000 contractors collect information on 180,000 sub-contractors using more than 2 million

forms at a cost to the industry of £250m.

"It doesn't take an expert to work out that this is bad for business - especially in a recession. I am delighted that the interiors sector is taking the lead on solving the pre-qualification problem and I encourage all contractors to register with the Builder's Profile and say goodbye to paper questionnaires."
