Fit out, maintenance and housing provider, Morris & Spottiswood, has received recognition for achieving excellence throughout its supply chain in the Atkins 2008 Quantum Awards.
The firm has been accredited with the Silver Standard, joining Atkins' top ranking suppliers who have demonstrated strong performance across their business and service excellence for customers.
Atkins manages the property portfolios of some of the country's leading organisations, including Barclays and Halifax Bank of Scotland and the Atkins Group Corporate Estate.
The firm's accreditation programme, Quantum, seeks to enhance the performance and capabilities of its own supplier organisations in order to deliver a world class purchase and supply programme to its customers.
There are over 200 key performance indicators with suppliers being assessed and benchmarked on health and safety, communication processes, risk management strategies, competitiveness, customer service and other criteria.
