Wimbledon's new retractable roof panels and bullnoses have been designed, manufactured and supplied to site by Scottish firm Booth-Muirie.

The new roof was tested on Sunday at a Centre Court Celebration Event when Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, Tim Henman and Kim Clijsters will be the first players to compete under the new structure.

The retractable roof is weathertight and can be deployed in wind conditions of up to 43 mph, enabling it to close in a maximum of 10 minutes. In preparation for closure, one section is parked in its folded state at the north end of the court, while the other is parked at the south end.

Jim Blair, Commercial Manager, said: "We are delighted to have been instrumental in the Wimbledon project. The prestige associated with the retractable roof has generated enthusiasm and excitement from everyone involved and we are very proud to have played a key part in the process."
