The event will be held at the IET’s Scottish home, the Teacher Building in Glasgow at 6pm on 18 May, and will include a keynote address by IET President Chris Earnshaw before certificates are presented to those that have successfully achieved professional registration qualifications.

Suli Yacoob, executive chairman of IET Scotland, said: "The IET's suite of continuous professional development categories and qualifications - Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer, Engineering Technician, and now ICTTech are all highly valued and recognised globally as a mark of professional excellence.

"Those registered are more likely to be given leading roles and will ensure they are kept up-to-date with new developments in the field, as well as being governed by a professional code of conduct."

The evening will start with a drinks reception and a networking opportunity followed by the registration ceremony where certificates will be awarded for successfully achieving professional registration qualifications. Local businesses and academia will attend. IET staff will also be in attendance to advise on professional registration.
