The transfer of 116 Beechwood homes to Sanctuary Scotland has been successfully completed.
The transfer of engagements from Beechwood Housing Co-operative Ltd follows extensive consultation with tenants of the Dundee estate, the overwhelming majority of which voted in favour of the move to Sanctuary Scotland.
The estate, located about one mile from Sanctuary Scotland's award winning Ardler Village, is made up of good quality, modern rental properties.
Sanctuary Scotland has been providing management services here since October 2006.
Gordon Laurie, Director of Sanctuary Scotland said: "We are delighted with the transfer and look forward to building on the close relationship we already have with tenants.
"They will experience minimal disruption and it will be very much business as usual. We have agreed to establish a local committee for our tenants, so that they can continue to play a vital role in the estate, influencing services, investments and priorities."
Beechwood Housing Co-operative Ltd was set up in 1992 and has overseen the complete regeneration of the estate.
In 2005 the co-operative came under the supervision of Communities Scotland and Sanctuary Scotland became the managing agent in October 2006.
In November and December 2007, tenants voted in favour of the transfer of engagements, including homes, tenancies, other assets and liabilities, to Sanctuary Scotland.
