Morgan Est Win Edinburgh Airport Contract

Infrastructure specialist Morgan Est has been awarded a contract to rehabilitate part of the taxiway infrastructure at Edinburgh Airport.

The reconstruction, which began yesterday (March 18th) and is all night work, involves the removal and replacement of 3,600sq m of Pavement Quality Concrete carried out in two phases. This contract win is a continuation of a portfolio of work carried out by Morgan Est, on behalf of customer BAA, over the last 18 months to improve the airport's runway and stands.

BAA Edinburgh has recently completed a £16m project to resurface the main runway at Edinburgh Airport, renewing the life of the runway for a further 15 years.

David Graham, Morgan Est Contracts Manager, said: "This new contract demonstrates BAA's continued customer satisfaction with the quality of our work and further strengthens Morgan Est's position as a leading supplier of infrastructure services.

"We have an excellent workforce and an excellent team who have been working on various projects within Edinburgh Airport for the last 18 months and BAA is happy to continue that relationship with us."

Work on the main taxiway project is expected to be completed in September.
