Airedale's next generation precision cooling solution, the SmartCool, significantly reduces energy consumption and maximises uptime in critical IT environments. Within its sleek, compact exterior lies a synergy of advanced technology and cutting-edge components, creating a sophisticated and highly flexible system.
Energy saving design factors, including direct drive AC fans with EC motor options; 'blow through' design; efficient 'A' frame coil; up to eight stages of DX cooling and optional inverter-driven compressors, contribute to 13% more cooling kW/m² and a 30% increase in system efficiency compared with Airedale's previous generation precision cooling products.
Seven system types are available, in DX R410A (air/water cooled, 60 – 130kW) or chilled water (60 – 150kW), together with a raft of state-of-the-art options. The first release of SmartCool features a downflow configuration.
Dual cool options offer 2N redundancy and a glycol free-cooling variant that uses 46% less power than the equivalent air-cooled DX system. At a nominal £0.11/kWHour this equates to an approximate saving of £8000/year or 31,000kg of CO2.
Further significant savings in energy are achievable through options such as variable humidity control; efficient hot gas re-heat; a high efficiency de-humidification circuit and, in selected SmartCool applications, reduced air volume.
