Detailed plans for the long awaited Mull Progressive Carte Centre are about to be unveiled at a series of public information meetings on the island in March.
The meetings are planned to allow as many people as possible to hear a presentation about the project and its future development.
Councillor Donald McIntosh, Argyll and Bute Council Spokesperson for Social Services said: "This is a very important project for Mull which potentially will have a huge impact on peoples' lives. When the project comes to fruition, it will offer residents the opportunity to receive the health care they need without leaving the island.
"It has been a long time in the planning, but it is important to get it right and I would urge as many people as possible to go along to one of these meetings and make their views known."
The meetings will take place as follows: Monday 9 March 2009 at 14.00 Bunessan Church Hall then 19.30 at An Tobar. Tuesday 10 March 2009 at 14.30 Salen Hotel then at 16.30 Craignure Village Hall.
