Scottish Industrial Development Advisory Board

The reappointment and extension of appointment of two members to the Scottish Industrial Development Advisory Board (SIDAB) was announced yesterday by Jim Mather, the Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism.

Reappointed to the Board is: Mr Neil Macdonald, Chairman of Barr + Wray Group Ltd, and of Martin Aerospace Ltd, and Proprietor of LEADERS Management and Investment.

He is past Chairman of Scottish Enterprise Lanarkshire and has served on the Board of a number of public and voluntary organisations, including Scottish Enterprise Inward Investment Advisory Group (USA), DTI Offshore Energy Technology Board, and Scottish Enterprise Energy Advisory Board. He is a fellow of the Energy Institute.

His current public appointments include Board Membership of 'Clyde Gateway' Urban Regeneration Company, Scottish Enterprise Investment Advisory Board and SMART Scotland Advisory Panel.

Mr Macdonald will also act as Deputy Chair of SIDAB.

The extension of appointment is: Mrs Lynne Cadenhead, she is currently Chief Executive Officer of 1745 Trading Company Ltd.

She was previously CEO of Amoebics Ltd, and previously Chair of Touch EMAS and Connect Scotland Ltd, a Director of Far Blue Scotland Ltd, Fund Manager of the Scottish Technology Fund and a Marketing Director with the Scottish Biomedical Foundation.

Both the reappointment and extension of appointment will be for January 1, 2009 until March 31, 2010.

Dr Robert Crawford resigned as Chair of SIDAB on December 12, 2008 due to other commitments.
