Site Waste Management Plans Workshop

WRAP and Envirowise are committed to supporting the construction industry by promoting the benefits of SWMPs through a series of workshops designed to explain their positive potential and the business benefits above and beyond compliance.

The one-day training workshop has been developed to provide valuable, practical support and direction for those tasked with designing and delivering SWMPs.

The workshop focuses on the use of the WRAP SWMP Template and the range of other tools available to the industry. It aims to provide you with the tools to help you identify good and best practice options and therefore is applicable to all UK construction projects seeking to improve the materials resource efficiency and performance, not just those subject to the regulatory requirement in England for projects over £300,000.

The workshop will cover:

  • Engaging all parties in benefit of SWMPs
  • Planning a site for SWMPs
  • Making it happen - Challenges and Rewards
  • Guidance on the Template and other relevant tools
This is a practical hands-on workshop and places are limited to two per organisation and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

Site Waste Management Plans (SWMPs) are an important tool for improving environmental performance, meeting regulatory controls (in England) and reducing the rising costs of disposing of construction waste. By adopting a good practice approach to implementing SWMPs you can improve performance and environmental benefits while also demonstrating compliance, where applicable.
