A planning application for an extension to a Borders housing develop has been shelved due to the tough current economic conditions.
The Scottish Borders Council has been told Roxburghe Estates wish to withdraw plans to extend phase two of the development at Sunlaws near Kelso.
The planning application which has been withdrawn was for a further 54 homes.
The firm have already been approved consent for 42 houses initially but the construction of this £10m 42 home scheme now depends on market conditions.
The first phase of 40 houses at Sunlaws has been completed.
