Reid Kerr College is launching a brand new course this month and becomes the first college in Scotland to offer training in solar panel systems.
Open to professional electricians and electrical personnel, this course provides candidates with the skills and introductory qualifications to become an accredited installer.
Reid Kerr College is enrolling now for the City & Guilds 2372 Certificate in Installing & Testing Domestic Photovoltaic (PV) Systems. Senior lecturer Andrew Fogarty said: "This course provides qualified electricians with a fundamental understanding of PV systems, including training on the practical installation of a typical roof-mounted system, and the commissioning and testing of systems and system design. Candidates will be working with live PV systems during their training and this course is the first step towards gaining Approved Installer status for contractors in this field."
This brand new programme is on offer at an introductory cost of £600, which includes all course materials, exams and lunches.
