The business support project, Forth Construction, continues to expand and grow with the Sharkey Group becoming its 300th member company.
Forth Construction has been set up to support companies working in the construction sector across East Central Scotland by providing with help getting on local supply chains as well as information on tendering.
With almost 400 people attending their last few information events it is clear many companies are looking for the help and support Forth Construction offer. The project is funded by Scottish Enterprise and housed by Clackmannanshire Council.
Scott Sharkey of Sharkey Group, said: "In difficult times it is great to see many aspects of the industry coming together to try and promote supply chain opportunities. This information is vital as both small and large construction companies are looking for ways to counteract the downturn the industry is experiencing."
Forth Construction's Martin Reid said: "As Scott has rightly pointed out, these are difficult times we work in but we are delighted that Forth Construction can provide some good news. To have a successful company such as the Sharkey Group supporting the project is a major boost not only for our members but also shows that there is a great deal of unity in the industry and a desire to work together for a sustainable future."
