William Skinner & Son Make New Staff Appointment

As part of the company's ongoing dynamic expansion, building contractors William Skinner & Son of Ayrshire in Scotland and Cambridgeshire in England have appointed Liz Warrs as Office Manager of their Southern Division based in Meldreth near Cambridge.

Liz (31) was formerly Transport Co-ordinator and Administrator with Cam European Freight Services in Royston. She lives in Sandy, Bedfordshire.

In addition to office management, Liz will also be charged with responsibility for logistics - sourcing labour, plant and materials and coordinating their placement with Skinners' contracts team and supporting the contracts team to deliver projects.

Speaking of her new appointment, Liz said: "Working in the building and construction industry is a whole new challenge for me, and quite a large learning curve! I have been very warmly welcomed by everybody at William Skinner & Son, and look forward to the future, expanding my knowledge within a new industry, and helping Skinners' Southern Division continue to expand successfully."

William Skinner & Son managing director Sandy Cunningham commented: "Liz Warrs has joined our Southern Division as Office Manager at Meldreth.

"She originally worked for us on a temporary basis, but it quickly became obvious that she would be a good candidate to take on the role in a full-time permanent capacity. As an experienced administrator and logistics co-ordinator, she will be able to support our management team as William Skinner & Son's Southern Division maintains and continues its present rapid growth."

William Skinner & Son chairman John Quinton said apart from offering more of our general building contracting work in England, we also have scope to increase our exciting renewable energy work, for which there is now great demand, especially for dual or multiple technology systems.
