Stewart Milne Developments Embarks On New Aberdeen Business Park

The first phase of a brand new business park for the Aberdeen area has been launched by Stewart Milne Developments.

Axcess Business Park on the outskirts of the city is a 36-acre site with planning consent for Class Four office use which, when complete, will represent the biggest park of its type in the area.

Axcess is located on the main A90 Aberdeen to Edinburgh route and conveniently situated for the airport, city centre and the surrounding area via the proposed Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route. The park will be developed to provide 750,000 square feet (70,000 square metres) of high specification office accommodation ranging from 2,700 square feet (252 square metres) to 150,000 square feet (14,000 square metres).

The development will offer a range of accommodation, from three-storey office pavilions ideal for either individual or multiple tenants to bespoke design and build headquarters buildings with high visibility frontages to the A90 trunk road. With the first phase of an 800-home residential development adjacent to the park underway, Portlethen Retail Park opposite and proposals for a 150-bed hotel within Axcess itself, the park is well-served in terms of facilities.

Commenting on the proposed new development, Stewart Milne Development's managing director, Malcolm Deans, said: "Aberdeen remains a vibrant economy and demand is high for quality office space in the city, particularly for modern, high-spec units. With city centre space at a premium, as well as parking limitations, we believe that Axcess Business Park will provide an attractive alternative location in a rapidly expanding and increasingly well-recognised locale."

The Aberdeen office of global property consultants CB Richard Ellis and Shepherd Commercial have been appointed as agents for the project.
