'Deli-cious' Addition To Elements Square

Delicatessen and restaurant group Peckham's has agreed a lease on two units at Elements Square, Land Securities’ newly-opened shopping centre in Livingston.

Established in 1982, the family-owned Scottish company is now widely regarded as being Scotland's leading independent specialist food and drinks merchant, with 11 stores and more than 6,000 quality items from which to choose.

Peckham's will open a 2239 sq ft unit in Elements Square ( 344 Almondvale South ) which is part of The Centre – a retail destination spanning almost 1million sq ft and with 155 shops.

The unit will be located in the Wintergarden area of the shopping centre – a unique space overlooking the retail offer, with comfortable seating and 1,000 plants and trees creating a relaxing haven for shoppers who want to take a break.

The retailer will also run a separate 290 sq ft kiosk on the bridge link (342 Almondvale South) leading to the Wintergarden, offering ice cream in the summer and soup in winter.

Leasing Director David Smith, from Land Securities, was delighted with the Peckham's double deal.

He said: "We promised customers a first class retail and catering offering and we have delivered yet again with this latest signing.

"Peckham's has established an outstanding reputation for offering foods of the highest quality so I'm sure shoppers in West Lothian will be delighted to have a store on their doorstep.

"Since Elements Square opened on 16 October 2008 it has become firmly established as a regional retail destination as part of The Centre. Trade for all retailers has exceeded expectations and the quality of Peckham's will serve the wider and more affluent catchment now visiting The Centre."
