Argyll and Bute Council's Building Standards Service has received one of the best audit reports in Scotland.
The audit was carried out by a three-man team from the Building Standards Division of the Scottish Government, who visited offices in Oban, Mid Argyll and Helensburgh.
The Council did extremely well, scoring "good" in all five categories audited. The categories were public customer; private customer; internal business; continuous improvement; and finance.
Council Leader, Councillor Dick Walsh, said: "Staff from the Council's Building Standards Service are to be congratulated for their outstanding work and their efforts in receiving one of the best audit reports in the country.
"The team does a wonderful job and I am glad that all their hard work has paid off."
