RB Farquhar, the manufacturer of pre-fabricated bathroom pods, is officially opening its doors in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the first time, bringing over half a century of international expertise to the region's ever-growing construction industry.
A Scottish, family owned, company, RB Farquhar has over 60 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, and is responsible for some pioneering groundbreaking modular construction techniques.
Following on from the opening of its first custom-built manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic, RB Farquhar has now chosen the UAE as the premier location to build its second plant, which will be opening in Al Ain in 2009.
Michael Shand, Managing Director of RB Farquhar, said: "We have worked with several clients in the Middle East over the past few years and came to the conclusion that having a constant presence out here would be incredibly important and beneficial. The rate of construction in the Middle East is phenomenal and by using RB Farquhar to design and install bathroom pods, developers can save time and ensure that deadlines are met.
"By opening a custom-built manufacturing plant in Al Ain we are able to fully facilitate the needs of clients in a quick, efficient and cost-effective way. Myself and the team are very excited about the upcoming months and making a name for ourselves in the region," he added.
The company is part of RB Farquhar Limited, which was founded in the late 1940's by Scottish businessman Bob Farquhar, becoming a leading supplier of prefabricated pods, temporary accommodation and modular buildings. Now in its third generation of family management, the company continues to go from strength to strength, always ensuring the core business values of hard work, enterprise, quality and customer service is upheld.
A fully finished bathroom pod leaves RB Farquhar's assembly line every 15 minutes and is expertly installed by the company on-site. The use of pre-fabricated bathrooms allows the client to increase the spec of the design without necessarily increasing the costs as RB Farquhar buys materials in bulk and off-site manufacturing permits a faster and much higher quality of finish.
