Mansell has completed a state-of-the-art £2.3m refurbishment project at one of Glasgow's prime commercial buildings.
The property at 140 West George Street was originally designed by the celebrated architect James 'Greek' Thomson, famed for his work within Glasgow's Necropolis in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The seven-storey blonde sandstone building features much of Thomson's early work, which pays homage to the Italian Renaissance. Now fully restored to its original glory by Mansell, this stunning building is available as a commercial outlet to rent from Taylor Clark Properties.
The 23,995 sq ft property has been completely renovated both internally and externally, providing the very best in high quality modern office facilities. Mansell employed the use of marble, wood and glass to create a unique interior that is sure to become a sought after office block in the city.
George Hood, managing director of Mansell in Scotland, said: "140 West George Street took eight months to complete and we're delighted with the results. It was a privilege for us to work on such a historical site in Glasgow and we feel that we have done justice to the original beauty of the building."
Jon Brand, managing director of Taylor Clark Properties Limited, added: "140 West George Street now provides a contemporary 21st Century working environment while at the same time maintaining the heritage of this important listed building. The accommodation offers prime office space within the hub of Glasgow's professional services district."
