Mansell has successfully completed a new £6.6m campus within Jordanhill School, which was officially unveiled by Fiona Hyslop, cabinet secretary for educational facilities and long life learning.

Dr Paul Thomson, rector of Jordanhill, said: "The opening underlines an important day for the pupils and staff. The state-of-the-art new building is equipped with a range of facilities that have brought the school into the 21st century. We are particularly impressed by Mansell's commitment to completing the build programme on time and within budget."

The new campus, funded with the help of a Scottish Government grant, includes a new three-storey block of classrooms, an all-weather hockey pitch and new games courts as well as an extension to the school's refectory.

David Brown, business development manager at Mansell, said: "As Scotland's only grant-aided school, Jordanhill is one of a kind. Being involved in its re-development, by delivering the new campus, is another significant achievement that marks our 100th year in the industry.

"After resolutely working to a fixed deadline, the team at Mansell is encouraged that the finished result has been so well received by the school."
