Renewable Heat Join Forces to Meet Rocketing Demand

Leading Scottish Heat Pump specialists Earthwise Scotland Ltd have announced their sole acquisition by EarthEnergy Ltd. Both businesses are well established specialists in the Heat Pump industry, which continues to grow at an average rate of 300% annually in UK.

Earthwise Scotland Ltd, operating from Kemnay near Inverurie has enjoyed rapid growth over the last five years and have expanded to provide geotechnical and installation services to the domestic and, increasingly, commercial sectors of the building industry.

As the demand for Carbon-efficient building grows, and fuel prices continue to spiral, the recognition of the value of renewable heating has focussed on Heat Pumps, which have become a mainstream technology in UK.

Earthwise Scotland's Managing Director Jonathan Wilson said: "We are delighted to announce this change to our company structure. We have known EarthEnergy Ltd for several years and are honoured to join, what we believe to be, the organisation at the forefront of the Heat Pump industry in UK. This investment will enable us to accelerate our growth and expand our services into social housing and larger construction projects."

Projects that have recently benefited from a Ground Source Heat Pump designed and installed by Earthwise Scotland Ltd include Aberdeen Fire Station, Lochaber Mountain Rescue Centre, Balmedie School and a residential development in Oldham. On the day of the acquisition, an order was received for their largest project to date, a new Health Centre in Fife.

"This is a happy coincidence," commented Jonathan Wilson. "This is just the sort of project that will benefit from our combined technical skills and contracts management capability."

EarthEnergy Ltd is the UK's leading geothermal company specialising in the design and installation of Ground Source Heat Pump systems for building heating and cooling.

"The acquisition of Earthwise Scotland is a real boost to our growth in Scotland," explained Managing Director, Brian Kenne.
