Global property consultancy Knight Frank, has just completed the internal fit out of Ziebel UK's new office and warehouse facility in Aberdeen in a contract worth £270,000.
Ziebel UK Limited appointed Knight Frank's building consultancy team in Aberdeen to transform the original warehouse layout at Unit A, Broadfold Road, Bridge of Don to become its new UK HQ facility.
The new fit-out includes design and manufacturing facility incorporating, offices, workshops, laboratory and manufacturing areas. To facilitate this, a mezzanine floor system was designed and installed which provides an additional 6,000 sq ft of space.
Knight Frank provided architectural, project management and CDM co-ordinator services for the project which completed in August 2008.
The property is located within Bridge of Don, one of Aberdeen's primary industrial locations, situated to the north of the city with good road links to the city centre, Ellon, Peterhead and Fraserburgh.
The unit is on the North side of Broadfold Road and provides excellent access to both the A90 and the Parkway, part of Aberdeen's inner ring road.
Broadfold Road is a key industrial location within Bridge of Don and provides a diverse mix of accommodation including a variety of industrial properties, headquarters for major oil & gas companies and car sales showrooms.
Roddy Morrison, Knight Frank said: "Ziebel UK required an accelerated programme to allow the facility to become operational as soon as possible. We specifically incorporated fast track methods of construction into the design to achieve this resulting in a very efficient and cost effective solution to the client."
During the course of the project Knight Frank also prepared the feasibility documents and provided all architectural design services.
