A Monday service is being introduced to Aberdeenshire Council's Westhill A2B dial-a-bus with effect from September 15.
The door-to-door service, operated in partnership with Stagecoach Bluebird, was introduced in February 2007.
The current four-day service, operating Tuesday to Friday, proved so popular with local residents that it had to be extended.
Councillor Peter Argyle, Chairman of the Council's Infrastructure Services Committee, said: "The Westhill A2B dial-a-bus has been a real success story, and the number of passengers has grown steadily since it started.
"We regularly receive positive comments about the dial-a-bus service and we’re delighted we can improve it even further with the addition of a Monday service."
The new Monday service will operate within the town and to and from outlying areas such as Echt, Leylodge and Lyne of Skene between the hours of 9am and 4pm.
The service is open to the general public, and passengers can ask to travel anywhere within the operating area, or to connect with Stagecoach buses to and from Aberdeen.
The A2B service is particularly popular for local shopping and medical trips.
All trips require to be booked by calling the A2B dial-a-bus hotline on (01224) 665599 between 9.30am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Bookings may be made at a minimum of one hour's notice, and up to one week in advance.
