Work on the Broadwood Stadium development in Cumbernauld, home of Clyde FC, which is is being developed to include a leisure and sports facility for the community, is about to start.
Mansell has been awarded the £5.5m contract by North Lanarkshire Council. Mansell will be working with JM Architects on the development.
A two-storey leisure and sports facility is to be constructed in the vacant north end of the existing stadium. The new centre will provide floor space of around 3,800 square metres to offer leisure, sport and recreational facilities.
The building will include a gymnasium, conditioning studio, dance studios and children's play areas, along with beauty therapy services and catering.
Clyde FC moved to Cumbernauld in 1996 after years of ground sharing. The club was formed at Barrowfield on the banks of the Clyde in 1877 and relocated to Shawfield on the south of the river in 1899.
Mansell has also submitted pre-qualification documents to Edinburgh City Council, which has asked for tender bids for its "frameworks" to build council buildings and refurbish existing ones. Each of the two frameworks is worth £100m over four years.
David Brown, Mansell business development manager, said: "These would be fantastic projects to be involved in. They would give us business on our order books for the next four years."
