Aberdeen City Council is carrying out a survey to gauge public opinion on the electronic information signs at bus stops in the city.

In 1998 the council, in partnership with First Aberdeen, was one of the first local authorities in the UK to introduce Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) displays on key city bus routes. The displays give arrival information for bus services in real time and are intended to make public transport easier to use.

As part of the council's regular monitoring of the performance of the RTPI system, a survey is being carried out to find out what people really think about the system and how they would like to see it developed in the future.

Bus users, both regular and infrequent, are invited to complete a short questionnaire to give their views on the subject.

The questionnaires are available from St Nicholas House, the Town House, The Point, all public libraries and on First Aberdeen buses.
