A programme of resurfacing works is to cause the closure of two main routes through Inverurie over the coming weeks.
Works are to commence on Sunday, August 17, on the north-east town's Blackhall Road and will be in place for around two weeks.
The works will involve the planing out the existing carriageway, followed by the laying a new asphalt surface, from the junction at Westfield Road, to the roundabout at the Morrison's supermarket on Burghmuir Drive.
Diversions will be in place and will direct road users along Burghmuir Drive and onto North Street.
The next stage of works will begin on Sunday, August 31, and will involve a similar project of work, this time on Burghmuir Drive.
This road closure will also be in place for a period of around two weeks.
These works will be taking place from the Morrison's roundabout to the junction at Gordon Road.
Diversions for this closure will be a reverse of the previous, and will direct traffic along North Street and onto Blackhall Road.
Access arrangements for residents and businesses will be retained but this may involve some disruption to those involved throughout the time of the works.
