A trainee joiner has been named as the Robertson Apprentice of the Year.
Scott Graham, 22, of Forres was announced as the winner at a special ceremony staged at the Robertson 'Lochan Mor' housing development in Aviemore. Now in its fifth year, the annual award scheme was designed to identify outstanding individuals within Robertson's established apprentice scheme.
Scott joined Robertson Northern in June 2005 and currently works at the Aviemore site building the final seven houses at the popular development for sister company Robertson Homes. He also attends Moray College as part of his continued training and development programme.
Construction Executive director, Ian Fraser, who presented Scott with a £300 cheque and commemorative plaque, said: "The ongoing development of our apprentice scheme is vital to the future success of Robertson.
"Robertson places a huge emphasis on employing the best people across each of our 11 businesses and we look for people who buy into our values of forging strong client relationships.
"It is also important that they take personal responsibility for their own development and offer mutual support to their colleagues. Scott has displayed all of these attributes and we believe that he has the potential to have a long and successful future with Robertson."
Elgin-based Robertson is made-up of 11 autonomous companies comprising six regionally-based construction companies, a property development company, a timber frame manufacturing business, a facilities management company, a business dedicated to PFI and PPP investments and a house-builder.
