Atrium Homes has launched its second completed new housing development, this time in Dunlop.
The properties at Glazert Road, Dunlop were formally opened by Cllr Stephanie Young, Provost of East Ayrshire at a ceremony where she unveiled a bird bath and plaque to commemorate the event.
The Provost said: "I am very pleased to formally open these much needed specialist properties in Dunlop. They are a first class example of partnership working between the Council and the RSL sector. Atrium Homes should be very proud of its efforts."
The development consists of 12 flats, 6 with 2 bedrooms and 6 with 1 bedroom. The flats are designed for persons who are older or ambulant disabled. They were designed by Lawrence McPherson Associates and built by Dickie and Moore. The development was completed ahead of schedule and on budget.
Jim Currie, Chairman of Atrium Homes commented: "This is Atrium's first development in Dunlop and in completing these properties we have taken our first steps to becoming a lasting part of the community of Dunlop. I am also very pleased today to be able to announce that our second Dunlop development will soon be underway at Allanvale."
