Artists have been chosen to transform the front of the Ramada hotel on Church Street, Inverness, as part of a wider project to revamp the city centre.
A team of artists, picked from over 70 applicants from around the world will create a new artwork.
The artists are Glasgow sculptor Alex Frost, London based Usman Haque of Haque design company and recent graduates of the Royal College of Art Hsiao-Chi Si and Kimiya Yoshikawa.
Susan Christie, of the Inverness Old Town Art team, said exciting ideas were expected to emerge from the artists now involved.
She said: "We could not be more delighted with the breadth and diversity of the artists who applied to transform this highly visible building in the city centre.
"Two sculptors, a textile artist and a design company that works with unusual and new technologies have been selected for the next stage."
Proposed designs are expected by the autumn.
