Lewis Wind Farm Plans Approved

Western Isles Council (Comhairle nan Eilean Siar) has approved plans for a 13-turbine wind farm on the Eisken Estate on Lewis.

There have been no objections from the Scottish Government.

Developer Nick Oppenheim scaled down the project from the original application for 16 turbines.

Oppenheim has made a separate application for the site for 53 turbines which has been considered by a public inquiry.
