Launch For OpenHouse

Last week saw the official Launch of OpenHouse at the NAEA & ARLA Scottish Conference at Airth Castle Hotel, near Stirling.

OpenHouse is a special partnership initiative between Surveyors Panel Management, SPM and the company registration specialist firm Millar & Bryce (subsidiary of MacDonald Dettwiler & Associates, MDA).

Solicitors, estate agents and other professionals directly involved in the property market are set to benefit from a unique online approach to the forthcoming new Home Report legislation from December 1, 2008 with the launch of OpenHouse.

The OpenHouse partners have approaching 300 years’ combined experience in their respective fields to their credit, and have joined forces to offer the most straightforward approach possible to Home Report submissions, to be made available online at www.openhouse.co.uk

Ian Gillies, Chairman of SPM said: "OpenHouse provides ready access to a network of surveyors across Scotland with the capacity to deliver the single survey requirements of a large share of the Home Report market."

Ian Fraser, General Manager, Millar & Bryce an MDA Company comments: "Everything about OpenHouse has been designed with ease of use in mind, and I’ve no doubt it will remove all sorts of potential difficulties for those involved in property sales while greatly speeding up the whole process."

Central to the OpenHouse proposition is that it will serve as "the home of Home Reports", providing a primary resource and one stop shop, which isn’t available elsewhere in this form in Scotland.
