Bison Concrete Products has appointed Nigel Brown as the new General Manager for Scotland.

Nigel Brown brings considerable experience to his new role, having held senior posts in aerospace, engineering and manufacturing.

Mr Brown said: "There is a lot of opportunity in Scotland and we want to use the skills of the people here to continue with our programme of driving up the levels of service which the business is able to deliver."

Although uncommon in the building products industry, Lean manufacturing techniques have frequently been proven to reduce waste and generate significant benefits in many other sectors.

Mr Brown added: "By applying those principles we will be able to raise our output and quality levels and help reinforce Bison's position as the leader in this industry.

"The benefits for our customers will include a better product range, increased product quality, better delivery and greater customer support."
