Donald Trump is to revise the controversial plans for a golf resort in Aberdeenshire to take account of environmental impact on wildlife habitats.
Local campaigners and conservation groups including the RSPB have criticised the £1bn plans for Balmedie as the site is designated to be of special scientific interest.
The amended application submitted to reporters conducting the public local inquiry next month reduces the amount of stabilisation required to secure the sand dunes.
Plans for Menie estate complex include two championship golf courses, 950 holiday homes, 36 golf villas and 500 private homes.
Scottish Government ministers will have the final say on the planning application.
