Imagine Projects Propose Kilmarnock Revitalisation Project

An exciting development of 20 flats on a prominent town centre site has been proposed by Imagine Projects, Glasgow.

The site at the junction of Wellington Street, Union Street and Boyd Street, Kilmarnock, has lain vacant for many years but now that Glasgow City Council has identified it as one of its top ten priorities for improvement and thanks to work by the current owners of the land, there are real prospects for revitalising this area of the town centre.

Councillor Jim Buchanan, Spokesperson for Environment and Regeneration said: "The proposed development consists of 20, 2 bedroom flats arranged over four floors with associated amenity space and car parking.

"A key feature of the proposed development is that it has been designed around the focal point created by the intersection of the roadways but has strong street frontages to Wellington Street and Union Street.

"The application is presently being considered by the Planning and Building Standards Division of the Council and I hope to report back in due course with more good news as the Council continues to work towards the revitalisation of the town."
