Lovell and Dunedin Canmore have helped promote a safety first approach to local school kids.

Children dressed up in hard hats and high-visibility clothing when they took part in the lessons on Health & Safety on construction sites.

The sessions were organised at Gilmerton Primary School. Experts from Lovell gave pupils lessons on the perils of building sites and the steps to take to stay safe. Competitions along with an interactive presentation were ran on the day with a prize giving ceremony taking place later on that week.

Susan Napier, Director of Business Development for Dunedin Canmore Housing Association, said: "Safety and security on building sites is so important and the pupils seemed to really enjoy the projects. It was very worthwhile, and the prizes from Lovell were much appreciated."

Lovell is currently working with Dunedin Canmore Housing Association on a refurbishment project at Moredun Park and Hyvot and a new build housing project at Oxgangs.

Alan Taylor, Lovell Regional Director, said: "It is a pleasure working on these exciting regeneration projects with Dunedin Canmore, we are well underway with the works which will bring much needed new housing and upgraded homes to the local community."
