CCG, the Glasgow-based construction and manufacturing group, has completed the latest phase of window replacements for Harbour Homes, with 111 households across Leith receiving new energy-efficient units designed to improve comfort, security and thermal performance.
More than 400 high-performance PVCu windows were manufactured and installed as part of this tranche, taking the total number of Harbour Homes properties upgraded through recent CCG-led programmes to over 800 since 2023. Over the past decade, more than 1,000 Harbour Homes properties have benefited from planned investment delivered in partnership with CCG, with further improvements due later this year.
The windows were fabricated at CCG's Cambuslang facility using a fully indigenous supply chain. They are steel-reinforced for durability and use a profile from REHAU UK containing 75% recycled materials.
With an A-rated energy performance, the new installations are expected to enhance heat retention, improve energy efficiency and support long-term performance for residents' homes.
This workstream, which culminated at Academy Park just south of Leith Links, forms part of a longstanding collaboration between Harbour Homes and CCG spanning planned maintenance and improvement programmes, as well as large-scale new-build residential projects.
Following the successful conclusion of this phase, CCG has been appointed to deliver a further window replacement programme that will commence later this year.
Mike Gibson, Director of Group Strategic Finance & Assets said: "Our ongoing investment in our communities and properties ensures that our tenants' homes remain safe, comfortable and energy efficient for the future. Our window replacement programme is progressing well, and we look forward to working with CCG during the next phase of the project."
Throughout the programme, CCG's Asset Management team coordinated closely with residents to schedule installations, minimise disruption and ensure safe, efficient delivery to high standards, backed by the company's dedicated Tenant Liaison service which provided regular updates and guidance.
Jim Cunningham, Asset Management Manager at CCG, said:
"Harbour Homes is a highly valued client of the CCG Group and we're delighted to have successfully completed another programme of improvements on their behalf.
"Residents will now benefit from high-quality, energy-efficient windows that will enhance their comfort, security and performance of their homes for years to come.
"We look forward to building on the success of this programme when we commence the next phase of works later this year."
