Clark Contracts has bolstered its long-running Academy, taking on 15 trainees and apprentices across the business so far in 2026.
Launched in 2006, the Clark Contracts Academy was set up to create structured pathways into the construction sector, combining practical experience, one-to-one mentoring and industry-recognised qualifications.
This year's cohort includes Trainee Quantity Surveyors and Trainee Site Managers, alongside apprentices in office-based roles spanning Administration, Maintenance, Estimating and Planning, highlighting the breadth of careers available within the company.
Each new starter will be supported by a dedicated mentor while studying towards qualifications through Modern Apprenticeship, Graduate Apprenticeship, HNC and Honours Degree routes.
Development will blend hands-on learning across Clark Contracts' projects and departments with formal teaching delivered by education partners including Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh Napier University, Glasgow Caledonian University, City of Glasgow College and West College Scotland.
The Academy's achievements have been recognised nationally: Clark Contracts won the Training Excellence Award at the Construction News Awards and has been shortlisted for two further national industry accolades this year.
Gordon Cunningham, Managing Director, Clark Contracts, said: "Our Academy continues to play an important role in bringing new people into the industry, helping address skills shortages while ensuring the next generation of construction professionals receive the guidance, training and opportunities they need to build successful careers. We are pleased to welcome this year's trainees and apprentices and look forward to supporting their continued progress and development as they gain experience across the business."
In addition, the company is currently recruiting two Modern Apprentices to join the Academy in IT and in Marketing and Business Development. Applications can be made via the current vacancies section of its website.
