BEAR Scotland, working on behalf of Transport Scotland, will begin ground investigation works on the cycle path adjacent to the A82 north of Onich on Monday 5 October.
The operation will run between 8am and 6pm each day and is expected to conclude on Tuesday 6 October.
For safety, two-way temporary traffic signals will be in place throughout the works. Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained.
Consultation has been undertaken with relevant stakeholders in advance to explain the traffic management arrangements and minimise inconvenience.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland's North West Representative said: "The works on the A82 north of Onich involve digging trial pits. This provides information on the make-up of the ground and will aid the design of planned cycleway improvements.
"Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements."
