SSEN Transmission is inviting local residents and community stakeholders to a public consultation to learn more about proposals for the Fasnakyle to Bingally 132kV Connection.

The drop-in event will be held at Cannich Hall on Tuesday 6 October, from 3.30pm to 7pm.

Attendees will be able to review the latest plans for a new 132kV electricity transmission connection linking the existing Fasnakyle substation with the proposed Bingally 400/132kV substation.

The connection would run for around 10km, combining sections of the existing 132kV towers with new underground cable.

Members of the SSEN Transmission project team will be on hand throughout to answer questions, outline the route selection process, and discuss other aspects of the scheme.

Information boards and consultation materials will be available, along with details on how to submit feedback on the proposals.

Kev Jackson, SSEN Transmission Project Manager, said: "We want to encourage as many people as possible to come along to our event in Cannich to meet the project team and find out more about our latest proposals for the Fasnakyle to Bingally 132kV connection.

"Engagement with the local community is an important part of developing the project, and this is an opportunity for people to ask questions directly, raise any issues or concerns, and share their views with us.
