The southbound carriageway of the A876 over the Clackmannanshire Bridge, between Kilbagie Roundabout and Higgins Neuk Roundabout, will be closed for carriageway repairs from 19:30 to 06:00 on Friday 2 October 2026.

A signed diversion will be in place via the A977, North Approach Road and the A985 Kincardine Bridge. Journeys using this route are expected to take approximately two minutes longer and cover an extra 0.3 miles.

Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Relevant stakeholders have been notified in advance of the planned works.

Tommy Deans, BEAR Scotland's South East Network Manager, said: "It's essential for safety that we close the southbound carriageway of the A876 while these repairs are completed.

"We'll do this at night and the diversion is relatively short, so we do not expect this to cause any significant disruption."
