Fife Council has voiced disappointment after a window at the newly opened Templehall Community Hub in Kirkcaldy was damaged in an act of vandalism. The incident, which occurred just weeks after the hub's official launch, has been reported to Police Scotland.

Shona Bellfield, Templehall Community Hub Manager, said: "We're extremely disappointed that a window at the new Templehall Community Hub has been damaged so soon after the building was officially opened.

"This hub was created for the community and represents a significant investment in Templehall. A huge amount of work has gone into creating a modern, welcoming facility that local people can be proud of and enjoy for years to come.

"It's particularly upsetting to see damage caused to a building that has only recently opened its doors to the community.

"We know the vast majority of local residents share our pride in the new hub and will be disappointed to see this happen.

"This facility belongs to the community, and we'd encourage everyone to help protect and take pride in this important community asset.

"If anyone saw anything suspicious or has information that could help identify those responsible, please get in touch with the police."
