Clark Contracts' Blackness Road scheme for Dundee City Council is on track to deliver 24 energy-efficient homes, with key structural milestones reached and completion targeted for 2027.
Construction is advancing well at the affordable housing development on Blackness Road in Dundee, being delivered for Dundee City Council. The project will create 24 new homes, comprising six wheelchair-accessible one-bedroom flats and 18 two-bedroom properties.
Representatives from Dundee City Council recently visited the site to review progress. Following the completion of ground stabilisation and foundation works, the team has erected the masonry for the ground-floor apartments, installed the first-floor concrete slab, and is progressing facing brickwork across the development.
Designed to complement the local streetscape, the homes will incorporate high-performance insulation and a hybrid heating system pairing a boiler with an air source heat pump, supporting high-quality, energy-efficient living for future residents. The development remains on programme for completion in 2027.
