Public survey launches as Hamilton Town Centre secures up to £20 million from the UK Government's Pride in Place programme to be invested over the next decade.
Pride in Place is a UK Government funding programme aimed at towns and neighbourhoods that require sustained investment. Hamilton Town Centre is set to receive up to £20 million over 10 years to back local projects and strengthen the area.
Anyone who uses the town centre — residents, workers, visitors and those who spend time there — is encouraged to complete the survey. The survey is available online at online1.snapsurveys.com/Interview/d9fc35a3-c9d5-4e29-8679-d7fc780eb60a, and a series of workshops and focus groups will run from the week beginning Monday 21 September for three weeks. To register interest in taking part, email [email protected].
Independent Chair of the Hamilton Town Centre Board, Ronnie Smith, said: "The Pride in Place Programme is community-led – local people will decide how the money is spent.
"That's why it is imperative that as many people as possible take part in the survey.
"The investment is targeted at Hamilton town centre in order to uplift the area for all of the residents in the surrounding communities - a stronger centre benefits the whole town.
"Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and let us know your views."
The Hamilton Town Centre Board, established in June 2026, will guide delivery of the Pride in Place programme locally. Its remit includes listening to community feedback, agreeing priorities and developing a long-term plan for investment in the town centre.
