McTaggart Construction has signed the IRES 2027+ Pledge, supporting the next phase of the Integrated Regional Employability & Skills (IRES) programme, part of the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal.
The initiative aims to deliver 65,000 skills improvements, 30,000 job outcomes and 10,000 career progressions across the Lothians and Scottish Borders. It brings together employers, colleges and training providers to create clear pathways into good, well-paid work.
By committing to the pledge, McTaggart will back employability partnerships, provide genuine job opportunities and help people progress into long-term careers in construction, in line with its growing workload in the Lothians and Borders.
The company said the move reflects a focus on people and communities as well as projects, working with partners who share that objective.
McTaggart also signalled its support for Capital City Partnership and the Integrated Regional Employability & Skills team.
