BEAR Scotland, working on behalf of Transport Scotland, is continuing works on the M90 Masterton Viaduct at Junction 2. To finish the southbound phase, the southbound on-slip from the A823(M) eastbound will be closed each night between 8pm and 6am from the evening of Monday 10 August until the morning of Monday 17 August. During the day, all traffic management will be removed. Once this phase is complete, the southbound carriageway will reopen as normal.

While the southbound on-slip is closed, traffic will be diverted via the M90 northbound to turn at Junction 3 and return southbound, adding an estimated eight minutes and 6 miles to affected journeys.

To remove traffic management on the northbound side, the M90 northbound carriageway will be closed between 8pm and 6am on Thursday 20 August. Until then, traffic management will remain on the hard shoulder. The carriageway will be fully reopened after this overnight closure.

During the northbound closure, traffic will be diverted off the M90 at Junction 1C to follow Admiralty Road, Kings Road and the A823(M), rejoining the M90 northbound at Junction 2. This is expected to add around 5 minutes and 2 miles to journeys.

All diversions will be clearly signed, and consultation with relevant stakeholders has taken place.
